Very few have gotten to experience the vastness of space firsthand, many more though have witnessed the silence that lives among the ocean floor while scuba diving. It is there that there was both a sense of weightlessness and compression all around the body that feels comforting yet a little off. I aimed to create a chair that emulated the slightly out of place feeling that is present there will still be in comforting and containing. The visual stylings of this piece are pulled from 1960s and 1970s retro futurism.
