A two person seating surface discovered through freeform woodworking
To create without being bound by draftings or dimensions brings about a terrifying amount of freedom. This bench was created through “freeform jazz” woodworking in which only a loose napkin sketch was created before beginning to build. Created from just one board of rough sawn white oak, this form was an exploration in moment by moment choice and problem-solving.
