Inspired by the a combination of two 1960’s Chippy Heath Telephone Tables, this unit was created as my final project for UNCSA’s Props Furniture Construction class. Custom fabricated from African mahogany using a range of fine woodworking techniques from power carving to hand surface planing. Finished with a curved custom made steel bracket for the compound curved back and sealed with two coats of satin varnish. Upholstered using replica 1960’s mustard yellow wool tweed.
