Existing between elevation and grounding the stool elevates the interactor from a direct line of contact to the ground. By displacing the central pillar into three panels and then bisecting each panel in two separate legs the interactor is left “floating up upon air”.
The mechanical design of this piece makes it feel technologically advanced yet being made from beech wood using traditional coopering techniques it places it in a world of ancient technologies of mechs long forgotten.
