This sculpture was created as a closing project while working as a Props Apprentice at Maine State Music Theatre.
The lobster project is a tradition among the props artisans at MSMT as the final project created at the end of the season. The project guidelines was to build a lobster out of any materials available within the prop shop. The decision to use spoons as the medium of construction was due to how their combined silhouette mimicked the texture and shape of a lobster.
